Quite a debatable topic! Are the high school or
graduation dropouts really recovered? Are the dropout recovery programs proving
themselves correctly? What does the statistics reveal?
Though statistics reveal a bit certain level of
improvement, but still goal hasn’t been reached yet. When asked about the
reason of quitting studies in the middle, majority of the dropouts claimed lack
of finance as the main reason. Poverty has still remained the major obstacle in
this regard. How can you aware people in such cases? Who will care for
education, when the stomach is burning with the pangs of hunger?
The other reasons like low performance,
marriage, physical and mental abnormalities, bullying and harassment by fellow
class mates have been handled to a large extent. Moreover these reasons had
less number of dropouts.
Attracting dropouts is the gravest challenge!
Particularly when poverty and marriage are the major reasons for this! Moreover
if they have already found other flexible options for either getting an income
or else for a degree, it’s almost next to impossible to divert their mind.
